______P&C_Fra Nettet:________
1)
"If he is a false prophet, his prophecy will fail to come to pass." (Watchtower, 5/15/30).
2)
"The difference between a true and a false prophet is that one is speaking the word of the Lord and the other is speaking his own dreams and guesses." (Watchtower, May 15, 1930, p. 45).
3)
In the introduction it was asked: "What is a false prophet?" The answer? - One who claims to act as God’s spokesman declaring things to come. Both the Bible and the Watchtower Society are in agreement with this definition. Have the Watchtower declared things to come which have not come to pass? The answer to this is certainly yes, many times. Therefore, it must be said that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society are indeed guilty, like Hananiah in Jeremiah‘s day, of speaking falsehood in the name of God, and giving people false hopes. In the light of this, what does this make the Watchtower, and what should our response be?: "...they are false prophets; and the people should no longer trust them as safe guides." (Watchtower, 5/15/ p. 30).
